About the event
The veil is thin, and the ones we miss feel close. Come spend an evening with them.
Monday, November 2, Relay opens its doors for a Day of the Dead gathering built around a shared community altar. At its head, a projection of the people we've lost, made from the photos you send us. Tea is served all evening. At 8pm, Slow Dreams leads an hour-long sound bath. After that, stay, settle, and be with friends.
Free to attend. RSVP so we know how many to expect. Donations welcome.
THE EVENING
Doors: 6:30pm
Bring items for the main altar: 6:30 - 8pm
Sound bath with Slow Dreams: 8 - 9pm (bring a cushion or something cozy to lie on)
Time to settle and be together: 9 - 11pm
Tea service all evening
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Share a photo. Email up to 3 photos of loved ones (JPG or PNG) to [email protected] by end of day Sunday, November 1. They will become part of the projection at the head of the main altar.
Build your own altar. Set up Sunday, November 1, between 12 and 8pm. Individual altars come down by 10am Tuesday, November 3.
Add to the main altar. Bring photos, mementos, flowers, or offerings Monday evening between 6:30 and 8pm. The main altar stays on display through the Santa Fe Lamp Show. Please pick up your items by Saturday, November 28. Anything left after that will be respectfully removed.
GOOD TO KNOW
Candles are welcome. Perishables go home with you at the end of the night.
